For a free offer you could use a free e-book you have the rights to giveaway, or software, etc. When your visitor enters their information and hits subscribe, they get their free gift and then are directed to your site, the affiliate sales page, your sales page, whatever.
Why is this so effective?
People resist sales efforts, so they need to trust you first. They’ve been scammed before, they don’t have trust. When you hit them right away with a sales pitch, they tune you out.
Your squeeze page will get them to opt-in to your mailing list. Through your mailing list you are going to build a relationship. Send a few emails with information they will appreciate, don’t sell anything until a few emails in. Even better, now you have a list you can use to keep your website making money for years to come. You will earn money more often this way.
